"Farewell"
By, J.T. Montague
Although we must say farewell, we know it's not good-bye,
We know that in the future, we'll join you in the sky,
Until that day comes, we'll be missing you down here,
Even though it's only farewell, we still can't stop our tears,
You were a great man of discipline, yet not without a sense of fun,
You were a man with bravery, and knew how to get things done,
Someday we will see you again, in God's Kingdom way up high,
Therefore we shall say farewell, but never say good-bye,
Ash to ash, dust to dust,
In that truth I trust,
But it only refers to the body, the soul will never die,
We will all meet you again, to remember this we'll try,
Although we must say farewell, we know it's not good-bye,
Someday we will see you again, in God's Kingdom way up high,
We know that though the body decays, the soul will never die,
Therefore we shall say farewell, but never say good-bye.
