"The Mirror"
By, J.T. Montague
I look into the mirror, who is that I see,
How could that smiling man possibly be me,
Why don't I know him, I feel like I should,
Perhaps it's been too long since last I've seen him, too long since last I stood,
He has a way about him, as though he is at peace,
He smiles like there's nothing wrong, like there's no illness or disease,
Foolish thoughts for one to think, that everything is fine,
There's no way that his face could possibly be mine,
Who is this looking out of my mirror,
And why does he show no sign of fear,
I look into the mirror, who is that I see,
How could that smiling man possibly be me.
